REFLECTION AND ANALYSIS

We have begun a new way of looking at our subject. We have started with interlinking three aspects of English- English Language, English movies and English Literature.

ReplyDeleteThe lessons were really enriching.It was a different experience. Both,the movie and literature had climax, history of characters, and everything was linked beautifully together.
ReplyDeleteDuring this week, we learned a great deal of how literature, language and this movie were inter-connected.Every movie has a series of events that consists of the exposition or the beginning, followed by the conflict, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution. During our lessons, we have successfully compared each of these events occurring in the movie with our literature chapters. It has also helped us enhance out story-writing skills, which is where the language came in. All in all, we are very grateful for this wonderful and unique learning experience.
ReplyDeleteDuring this week, we learnt many interesting things. We learnt about the different parts of a story like the exposition or the introduction of the characters followed by the conflict, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution. We learnt about the connection between literature and language and also connected it to our chapters. With the help of the lesson we were able to divide the chapters in parts which helped us in memorizing them. It also improved our language skills.
ReplyDeleteYes the lessons were quite unique and enriching. What we learnt in the week was something very different. It will help us in our English skills, link literature and language very well and also make it much easier for us. We saw the movie Little Mermaid where we learnt how to divide a story in various parts, its main plot, exposition, conflict, rising action, climax, falling action, character analysis and finally the resolution. We further also linked this with our prose chapter. We really had fun learning about all these different concepts and truly enjoyed the class.
ReplyDeleteDuring this week, we learned how literature, language and the movie are interlinked. The Little Mermaid teaches us that we should follow our heart and we should have the courage to cross all the hurdles to achieve our goal. We also learned that every story has a series of events which consists of the exposition, conflict, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution all following each other. These points have made it easy for us to connect this movie with our literature chapters. We have also learned many new words which have improved our vocabulary skills. We all have had a very good learning experience.
ReplyDeleteA good understanding of how three different facets of English can be interlinked,intertwined and connected. The lessons learnt have been value based and at the same time dealt with the format- the different parts of a story . Critical evaluation of characters with appropriate examples and justification was also encouraged. A well written feedback students.A good analysis with an appropriate balance of intellectual thought, emotion and values imbibed from this experience. Keep it up !!!
ReplyDeleteThis was a truly enriching course. We learnt about the various elements of a story and how they are connected to English Language, Literature and a movie. We were taught these elements with the help of the story - The Little Mermaid. What we learnt from this story is that we must follow our heart where ever we go, no matter whar the circumstances are. Throughout this course, we were enriched with new words which led to the improvement of our English Language and vocabulary skills. We really had fun learning about all of this and we truly enjoyed the class

During our regular classes we could comparing all these series of events with our literature chapters. This has also helped us improve our language skills. Altogether it was a great learning experience and we fully enjoyed it.
